Colin Brazier has called for a “political revolution” in Britain, arguing the country needs leaders willing to be honest with voters about the scale of its problems.
Speaking to GB News, the broadcaster said politicians should level with the public about the difficult decisions required to tackle issues including mass migration, welfare spending and national security.
“I think we need a political revolution,” Mr Brazier said, adding: “I think it starts with communication. And it starts with being honest.”
He said a future political leader — “maybe it’s Nigel (Farage), maybe it’s Kemi Badenoch” — needed to tell voters from the outset that Britain was “in a really bad way”.

“They’re going to have to make some really tough decisions,” he said.
Mr Brazier argued politicians had become too reluctant to confront voters with the potential consequences of major policy changes, saying Britain had been “taking in the West a holiday from history”.
“You can’t take it indefinitely,” he said.
Mr Brazier also criticised Westminster’s make-up, arguing too many politicians come from a narrow range of professional backgrounds.
“Too many lawyers, too many charity workers, too many academics, (and) too many public sector workers generally who have learned how to spend other people’s money,” he said.
The broadcaster pointed to the backgrounds of Labour’s newly elected MPs as evidence of what he described as an overly narrow political class.
“We got here by not being sceptical enough,” he said, arguing the UK should have questioned the economic and social consequences of mass migration more closely.
He also called for a rethink of the incentives and expectations surrounding MPs, saying: “We probably need to pay our MPs more. I hate to say it.”
Mr Brazier said Britain needed politicians prepared to challenge prevailing orthodoxies rather than simply managing decline.
“We need to say to the British people, look, the country is in a really bad way,” he said, adding: “We’re gonna have to make some really tough decisions.”
