One of the 60,000 African migrants who stormed the city of Ceuta attempted to evade deportation by hiding in a tiny beach pipe.
Spanish army personnel, who had been deployed in force to restore order, quickly found the individual and pulled him from his makeshift den.
Footage of the incident showed the migrant attempting to conceal himself in the cramped space with a white sheet.
Three Spanish soldiers then assembled by the entrance to pull him out and see him removed from Spanish territory.

First, a football is pushed out of the tunnel before the hooded migrant’s head pops out into the open – prompting the soldiers to pull him out.

Around 7,000 migrants remain at large in the Spanish exclave, which is found on the Mediterranean coast of the African mainland.
