A pet parrot has miraculously returned home to his owner after being stolen nine years ago.
Speaking to GB News, owner Robert Mortimer told Martin Daubney: “I thought, honestly, after two years, he’s be dead. And obviously I just gave up.
“But obviously when I got the phone call just under a week ago that someone had found him in the Ikea car park, the lady said she’d found him, she said there were over a hundred people who’d phoned up and said he was theirs.
“So she took him and found that he had a microchip, and when she did some digging, obviously he had his name and my old address, but somehow the police database had my telephone number, and said they’d got my parrot.”
