Leader of Essex County Council Peter Harris has told GB News of his experience at an asylum centre which has been branded a “holiday camp” due to its luxury facilities.
Speaking to GB News, Mr Harris said: “It can only be described as a holiday camp. It has gymnasiums, it has an internal large sports hall, fitness room, pool, table tennis, squash courts, two restaurants, snack bar. I mean, it really is a really great area.

“So if you want it to go there and chill out or have a really good time, that’s the place that you’d like to go. And of course, not only have we got all of those facilities there, all the migrants that we saw there, about 150 of them, although we were told about 800 were were were kept on site, they were all on their mobile phones.”
