Andy Burnham has delivered a speech to mark the first National Day for Victims and Survivors of Terrorism.

Speaking in central London, the Prime Minister insisted “we can do better” for those who have been affected by terrorist attacks.

The commemorative event was established following a campaign led by survivors, including Travis Frain OBE and Jo Berry CBE.

It remembers those killed or injured in terrorist attacks, as well as bereaved families, survivors, witnesses and first responders.

More than 200 people have been killed in terrorist attacks in the UK since the year 2000, according to an independent review of counter-terrorism policy.
