A train has caught fire at near London Victoria, as passengers face extended delays to services.

Southern Rail UK confirmed that a train is on fire at Clapham Junction.

Services between Balham and London Victoria are delayed as the line is blocked, with passengers being warned of delays to the Gatwick Express.

Southern Rail have said that services will continue to run throughout the day, but will be subject to congestion and delays.

The train operator has told passengers to expect delays until at least 3pm.

Trains have been diverted to another route whilst the trainline is still blocked.
