Swedish police descend on school after 'loud bangs' heard amid shooting

Swedish police have descended on a school after “loud bangs” were heard.

A suspected perpetrator was seen running from Ronnaskolan school in Södertälje, according to sources.

Police spokesman Robert Sennerdahl said: “We have initiated an operation there and there is suspicion of a crime.

“We have information that bangs were heard and that is something we are investigating.”

Ronnaskolan is one of Södertälje’s larger compulsory schools and has served several hundred pupils.
