Shocking footage shows pedestrians nearly being knocked down and unable to cross a bicycle lane as streams of cyclists speed past without stopping for them.
The video, shared by the National Federation of the Blind UK (NFBUK) on social media, sparked a furious response online.
The compilation showed pedestrians in London attempting to cross to and from a so-called floating bus stop, where a cycle track runs between the main pavement and a passenger island.
In one clip, a man is forced to leap back onto the pavement as a scooter careered into the back of a cyclist who had stopped to let him cross – with the man yelling, “It’s a crossing!” during the altercation.
Another moment shows a near pile-up as cyclists speed through the crossing while a woman tries to cross.
Accompanying the post was a warning from the NFBUK that so-called floating bus stops were “not safe or accessible for blind people”.
The campaign group has raised serious concerns that floating bus stops pose risks for the visually impaired in London and across the UK.
