Sarah Pochin has confirmed Reform UK will challenge Keir Starmer’s Holborn and St Pancras seat after the former Prime Minister triggered a by-election with his decision to step down.
Speaking to GB News as the news broke, the Reform MP said she was “not surprised” to see Sir Keir give up his north London constituency.
When asked if Nigel Farage’s party would put forward a candidate to replace him, declared: “Oh, absolutely. Yes. Another by-election. Bring it on.”
Speculating on what the former Prime Minister would do after stepping down, Ms Pochin said: “I wouldn’t give anybody a job that you turned 18 times while he was in his last post.”
Sharing his own reaction to the news, Mr Farage said: “We promised in May that if you vote Reform, we will get Starmer out. Promise made, promise kept.”
