Rhiannon Whyte’s mother joins protests at RAF Barnham as site set to house asylum seekers: ‘I worry for their safety!’

The mother of murdered asylum hotel worker Rhiannon Whyte has joined protesters opposing plans to house asylum seekers at a former Norfolk RAF site.

Speaking to GB News at a demonstration near RAF Barnham, Siobhan Whyte said she wanted to help residents understand the “reality” of the proposals and keep their children safe.

Protesters have raised concern over the prospect of 1,250 asylum seekers moving to the base, which is near a village with fewer than 500 residents and a small primary school.

“I worry for their safety,” Ms Whyte said, adding she was attending to “help these people understand the reality of what’s really happening.”
