The Spanish Government approved plans to give legal status to half a million undocumented migrants earlier this year.

The move would allow tens of thousands of people to officially enter the Spanish workforce.

Spain’s Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez said in April this year that the plan was both “an act of justice” and a necessity for the country.

The relaxed migration policy has already seen migrants flocking to Spain’s territories, with around 60,000 people surging to Ceuta on Thursday last week from Morocco.
