The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for thunderstorms covering eight regions across England and Wales.

The warning runs from 3am on Wednesday until 10pm.

It has said: “A band of heavy showers and thunderstorms is expected to move northwards on Wednesday morning.

“A drier, brighter interlude may follow, but with a chance of further showers and thunderstorms breaking out during the afternoon.”
