A man has been arrested on suspicion of rape following an attack on a woman in her 20s on Brighton Beach, police have said.
Sussex Police confirmed a 28-year-old man was being held after they received reports of the incident.

It is believed the alleged attack took place either late on Tuesday or in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
The victim is currently being support by specialist officers.

Divisional Commander Chief Superintendent Adam Hays said: “This has been a fast paced investigation with the suspect quickly arrested at the scene.
“I commend the bravery of the victim who came forward to report this and who we continue to support with specialist officers.
“We are aware of the concern this incident will have caused in the community and will continue to work tirelessly with our partners to create a hostile environment for those who seek to come to the city for the purpose of offending against vulnerable people.”
