Katie Price sparks family row after revealing Harvey wants first tattoo: 'Don't do that to him'

Katie Price sparked a family row on the latest episode of her podcast, The Katie Price Show, after disclosing that her eldest son Harvey, 24, has set his sights on getting his first tattoo.

The former model, 48, told listeners Harvey has already chosen both the design and placement for his debut piece of body art.

“Harvey keeps asking he wants a little frog done (on his hand), a tiny little frog,” she said.

While Katie appeared enthusiastic about the idea, her younger sister Sophie, 36, reacted with dismay.

Sophie pushed back firmly, saying: “No, don’t let Harv have a tattoo.”

When Katie insisted her son was keen, Sophie held her position: “No, don’t do that to him, Kate.”

The disagreement between the siblings touched on a deeper question about Harvey’s autonomy.

Harvey lives with Prader-Willi syndrome and septo-optic dysplasia, which causes blindness, as well as ADHD and autism.

Katie defended his right to make the choice, arguing: “He is 24, he is a man. I know he’s got complex needs.

“Harvey knows what a tattoo is because he sees them on me and has seen me get them done.

“Where do we stand on this? Because if he wants it, why can’t he?”

However, Sophie retaliated: “”But Harv’s mental age isn’t 24, is it? It’s a lot younger. So I would think of it in that respect.”

“He can’t make a decision without you or someone else there.”

Katie acknowledged the difficulty of knowing where boundaries should fall, noting: “This is a good conversation; if it was him signing a form, then no.”

Katie also revealed Harvey’s siblings are also planning frog-themed ink in honour of their brother.

Junior, 21, and Princess, 19, her children with ex-husband Peter Andre, intend to get frog tattoos, as the amphibians are Harvey’s favourite animals.

Harvey himself has built a significant online following, with more than 348,000 people tracking his social media accounts.

Katie said he is well aware of his popularity and regularly asks her to post his artwork on his platforms.

The discussion on the podcast also highlighted the tension Katie faces in balancing her son’s complex needs with his desire for independence.

Katie also spoke about Harvey’s creative output, revealing he relies on multiple iPads to produce his digital artwork.

She explained each device serves a distinct purpose in his process before he merges everything into a single finished piece.

“But he does actually do different things on all of them, then puts it all together, which is good, but it’s like three iPads,” she said.

Keeping his devices operational has proved an ongoing challenge, with Katie admitting she was being forced to source yet another tablet after Harvey became fixated on reviving an older one.

She described his insistence despite already using two iPads daily.

Looking ahead, Katie disclosed ambitions to channel Harvey’s artistic talents into publishing. “I want to go to a publisher, because I think Harvey would be amazing at bringing out his own children’s books,” she said.
