JB Gill, the 39-year-old JLS singer, has placed his Kent farmhouse on the market with a guide price of £1.5million.
The decision follows council planners’ refusal to approve his proposed gym extension, which would have involved knocking down an existing conservatory to create a “luxury leisure and entertainment suite”.

Officials deemed the development “inappropriate” for green belt land.
Mr Gill and his wife Chloe Tangney, a former backing dancer, are once again attempting to offload the rural property, which sits on 13 acres of countryside.

The modern detached house offers four bedrooms, four reception rooms, a media room, study, and a kitchen with breakfast room.
Estate agents described it as “well-maintained and presented with interiors styled to reflect contemporary tastes,” positioned behind a secure entrance.
The sprawling grounds already feature an impressive array of amenities, including a cinema room, a heated swimming pool with a glazed cover, though agents noted this “requires some updating”, along with stables, paddocks, and an orchard where Mr Gill grows his own apples.
Extensive gardens encircle the property, dotted with mature trees, fruit-bearing varieties, and shrubs, while sweeping lawns and terracing run along the rear of the house.
Beyond the lifestyle features, Mr Gill has built a genuine farming operation at the smallholding.
He rears pigs and chickens on site and has earned recognition for his turkey production, with award-winning birds alongside free-range pork.
The property has appeared on television programmes including Through The Keyhole and Channel 5’s Summer On The Farm.

During a 3am break-in in 2020, a gang of four intruders raided the home, spraying Mr Gill in the face when he confronted them.
Ms Tangney was threatened at knifepoint before the group escaped with stolen valuables.
This is not the couple’s first attempt to move on from the property, which Mr Gill originally purchased for £1.2million in 2011.
A previous effort to sell in 2018 failed to attract a buyer.
A source close to the singer confirmed that while the house is on the market, the farming business is not included in the sale.
Operations at the farm are continuing as normal.
The family have remained active on social media, regularly sharing content filmed at the property, and recently welcomed a glossy magazine for a home tour.
Mr Gill rose to fame as part of JLS alongside Aston Merrygold, Oritsé Williams, and Marvin Humes, with the group scoring number one hits including Beat Again, Everybody in Love, The Club is Alive, and She Makes Me Wanna.
His television career has flourished in recent years.
He took part in Strictly Come Dancing in 2024 and featured on The Celebrity Apprentice: Christmas Special the following year.
Mr Gill has become a familiar face as a regular co-presenter on The One Show.
Last month, he joined in the programme’s 20th anniversary celebrations.
