A Green councillor in Birmingham has been charged with assaulting five people, including three police officers.
Siobhan Harper-Nunes, 66, was arrested last week after police were called to reports of disorder.
Officers arrived to the junction of Monument Road and Hagley Road in Edgbaston at around 5pm on Thursday where they arrested the councillor on suspicion of assault.
On Friday, Ms Harper-Nunes was charged with five assault offences, ITV News first reported.

The 66-year-old has been charged with assaulting a member of the public, three police officers and a member of police staff.
She has also been suspended from the Green group on Birmingham City Council with immediate effect pending an investigation.
“She should do the right thing by the people of Ladywood and step aside,” Labour group leader Nicky Brennan said.
A West Midlands Police statement said: “We were called to disorder near the junction of Monument Road and Hagley Road at around 5pm yesterday (August 6).
“A woman was arrested on suspicion of assault.
“This afternoon, Siobhan Harper-Nunes, aged 66, of Monument Road, was charged with assaulting a member of the public, three police officers and a member of police staff.”
The councillor has since been bailed and will appear before Birmingham Magistrates’ Court on September 10.
Ms Harper-Nunes stood for the Greens in the West Midlands mayoral election in 2024, where she came fifth with 5.2 per cent of the vote.
She was the vice-chairwoman of the Birmingham Race Impact Group, a role in which she committed to using her position to educate and change attitudes.
At the BRIG, she pledged to “keep race on the agenda”, “hold institutions to account” and to “pass the baton to our younger generations”.
