In today’s GB News Daily Reflection, we compare the bronze serpent in Numbers with Jesus being lifted up on the cross.
Just as the Israelites were healed by looking at the serpent, Christians believe eternal life comes not by earning it through good deeds, but by looking to Jesus and trusting in him.

The message is that salvation is offered to everyone who turns to Christ.
“On the cross, Jesus Christ was lifted up like that bronze serpent, offering healing and life to anyone and everyone who would look at him.
“Christians believe this is the whole of the gospel, compressed into one gesture, not self-empowered striving or climbing the ladder, but looking to Jesus who was lifted up.
