In today’s GB News Daily Reflection, we remember that if you want to impact the world around you, if you want to make a difference in society, look to Jesus, put your trust in him, confess him before others, and see the gates of hell overcome.
“We live in challenging times that so often seem filled with darkness, evil and we can find ourselves wondering, Will good really win? Will the light triumph over the darkness?
“When Jesus said, who do the people say that I am? Peter answered, saying, thou art the Christ, the son of the living God. He had trust in Jesus. He confessed his faith in Jesus. And in response Jesus said to him, and you are Peter. And on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell will not prevail against it.
“Friends, times might feel hellish. You might be going through the battle of your life wondering if you’ll come through the other side. Well, the promise of this word isn’t that the church will endure as hell attacks it.
“No. It paints a picture of the church, the kingdom of God, attacking the gates of hell itself, saying the gates of hell will not prevail. So this offers us great hope.

“It offers hope to all who believe in Jesus like Peter, all who confess their faith in Jesus, like Peter, all who hold on to Jesus like Peter. Because Jesus is the Rock, Peter is the rock, and his confession of faith is the rock.”
