Axel Rudakubana has been charged with multiple assaults on prison staff at HMP Belmarsh, the Metropolitan Police has said.
The charges are from offences occurring in May, June and October of last year.

He was charged on Tuesday and will appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court via video-link on September 11.
Rudakubana has been charged with an assault on an emergency worker on May 6 2025.

He is also charged with attempted grievous bodily harm on May 8 2025, an unauthorised possession of any offensive weapon in prison on June 26 of last year and an assault on an emergency worker on October 28 2025.
It has been alleged he poured boiling hot water over a prison officer in May last year.
Rudakubana, who murdered three girls at a dance class in Southport on July 29 2024, was moved to Broadmoor, a high-security psychiatric hospital in Berkshire earlier this month.
This week marked the two-year anniversary since the attack.
He was previously held in HMP Belmarsh, after he was handed a 52-year prison sentence for fatally attacking Elsie Dot Stancombe, seven, Bebe King, six, and Alice da Silva Aguiar, nine, as well as injuring eight other children and two adults in Southport.
His sentence is the “second-longest sentence imposed by the courts in English history”, the then-Attorney-General Lord Richard Hermer said at the time.
Rudakubana’s relocation to the psychiatric hospital was triggered after a clinical assessment under the Mental Health Act was made, the Ministry of Justice (MoJ) confirmed last week.
The MoJ added it was unlikely Rudakubana will ever be released.

A spokesman said: “The families of those murdered and injured in Southport will be in this country’s heart forever and our thoughts remain with them.
“Any decision to transfer an offender is made following an independent, clinical assessment, under the Mental Health Act.
“Following rigorous security checks, the offender has been transferred to a high-security psychiatric unit, where he will remain until assessed fit to return to prison.
“Officials have approved this transfer, on behalf of Ministers.
“This transfer does not change his sentence – which remains at 52 years – and of which he will serve every single day.”
